door panel question

I did a search before writing this but i cant find my answer. I need to know how to disconnect the door handle so i can remove the door panel. I tried in the back (taking out the screw and disconnecting the cable, but it still broke. So how do you take the handle off correctly.....whats the full process of door panel removal? Thanks.

use a rag to pop the retaning clip out then rmove all screws and pull off
