Blasphemy! How dare you speak ill of Bob Barker. Shame! That man was a legend. Remember, have your pet spayed or neutered.

Lol...as if most of his career hasn't been a suicide.

Just go back to stand-up Drew. Walk away.

Considering about 5-7years back, Drew Carey was the best paid TV Actor and now he has dropped off the face of this planet, I wouldn't call this career suicide. In fact, I would say this is great exposure to make himself more marketable, again.

Look at Howie Mandel, Bob Saget, and others who have made come backs through successful TV game shows.

I guess its easier to just spew crap than actually think about how recent history has played out in favor of these comebacks. If nothing else, its an extra few million to be made over the next year or two that can be invested wisely so these "has been" actors can live comfortably over the rest of a lifetime, while they still have the means to make a substantial income.

"Carey initially earned $60,000 per episode in the first seasons, then renegotiated for $250,000, and near the end of the show, he was earning $750,000 per episode."

Drew Carey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wikipedia may not be a reliable source but its common knowledge that by the end of his TV show he was making an absolute killing. I'd say the guy did damn well for being an overweight, dorky looking white guy.

Yeah, it is easier to spew crap than to do research, isn't it ?

Any game show, sure. But the Price is Right is more of a sentence than a job.

    Louie Anderson comes to mind.

Clearly, I knew he did "Who's Line Is It Anyway" which is in the wikipedia that I posted. That showed worked for about two seasons, until Wayne Brady's popularity came and left and then the showed died out.

The reason why he was asked to do the Price is Right is because he just did a show, the "Power of 10", that is a sweeps show to boost ratings so the stations can charge higher rates for advertisement and appear to be more successful, but the fact remains he went from making $750,000 an episode to quickly becoming a nobody.

What did he do? A gimmicky show that gave him the exposure, which landed him the Price is Right job. What do you think the exposure from Price is Right is going to give him? More money, more exposure, and the hope of getting big again.

Its simple but expert Steve can call an end to his career prematurely.

John O'Hurley (J. Peterman from Seinfeld) would have been a much better followup/tribute to Bob Barker.

I dont give a flying fuck what money he made. He should have enough to do some serious shit for once.

How much did those "Friends" make total? How much scab-infested ass does that show suck? Plenty.

Drew Carey is actually talented as a writer and stand up. That means he should be at the late-night primetime level. With Jay moving on, and Conan moving up - I don't see why he didn't try to replace Conan.

Lol, you are the biggest piece of shit ever.

Search to your heart's content, you'll never find me ever saying that I was coming to punch you, rather that you should be punched perferably in your deformed little head to knock some sense and respect into you.

You're the bottom feeder of this board and have increasingly become so in recent months.

I'll never forget when you first PM'd me, thinking that simply because I agreed with some political views of yours that I would preach the Celerity gospel and be your sidekick in online butt kicking. That was humorous.

I'd agree that personalty wise, outwardly, they appear to be similar. From the things I've heard about Bob Barker, he was quite the womanizer and not always that nice of man, but I have no idea about O'Hurley's personality.

I know you guys' little bitch fight is none of my business, but I don't care. You drama queens need to can this shit promptly, because your little jabs back and forth are annoying when reading through a thread. Now kiss and make up. What would Jeebus do?
