Dual layer DVD's .....

Okay, so, my cousin has GTA: San Andreas, and it got all scratched up, and won't work. he took it to gamestop, and they said some crap about it being a dual-layer dvd, and that it won't ever work right again. they said, "you're shit out of luck." anyway, so we took it to a place that grinds cd's, and it still won't load up right, it just keeps freezing.

what's the deal with dual-dvd's? is the gamestop guy right, or what? is my cousin SOL?

just buy another copy. they are what? like 15 bucks?
