I was taking the exhaust manifold off of the SI engine that is going in my car, and one of the studs broke off in the block. Will it be ok, to just leave that one out, or should I try and get the broken stud out and replace it? Thanks in advance.

goto sears and get a stud remover. if you leave it you'll most likely have a badass exhaust leak.

Yep that stud is there for a reason. Make sure when you remove the stud you spray down the bit and where the bolt is with wd40. I messed up two bits before someone told me this. Make sure you have a drill with around 18v. Shouldn't take but a min.

The engine I have now is the first one with all the exhaust manifold bolts in it. Never had any leaks, or noise. Just make sure thte others are torqued to spec, and the gasket is good.
