Dx Swap?

What up, I'm looking for the best engine to swap into a 1996 Civic DX. I would want to get the engine for under 3 g's. Also what would be the easiest swap?

96dx civic pushing a d16y7? I'm in the same situation right now. I'm looking at getting a b16a2 usdm motor and that should run about 2k-2.5k. I'm feeling that a b18c would be a little bit above your price cap but could be wrong and there are always exceptions. If you have time and patience and know what you're getting into then look around for a newer h22 but I'll vouch that the ride can suffer and you'll be spending lots of extra money to keep it going smooth. hope this a decent start and good luck!
