dying d16a whats the problem?

Hey all, my friend has a i/h/e civic Si, (88-91) and he put mixed gas in it, ( stupid kid) anyway, he said he only put in like a little bit to get somewhere one day, and has put 2 half tanks of gas in since, but he says now that its running like a deisel, with alot of power loss, sputtering, and blow/white smoke blowing out, i know thats oil/water, but what else could it be. Head gasket? gimme ur thoughts hes desperate for help.

The head gasket, yea, maybe, but what kind of gas did he put in? If he put in diesel it should just run like shit.(it burns slower than reg gas. theres your power loss) But I don't know. More details.

what do u mean by mixed gas?
