Easiest Swap

I would like to know what is the easiest and best swap into my 1996 Civic coupe ex. A b16a2 or b18c1.

it would be the same, they are both direct bolt on's, just need to mess around wit the harness but its still a plug and play....I dont think of why te b18 would be harder than the b16 or vise virsa

all b-series swaps should be the same.. other than wiring vtec in some and not others

the b18c will be a tad bit harder b/c of the intake manifold, but if you remove prior to throwing the engine in, youll be fine. Reattach once its in your car.

Mounts

If the b16 is a direct bolt in why is it that on the sites reference page it says that you need the 99-00 civic si motor mounts and transmisson mounts??

if u plan on swaping any b seies into a 96-00 civic u WILL need the SI driver side motor mount bracket and the 99-00 SI rear L bracket so that the motor will align and sit right

you also need the wiring harness of 99-2000 civic ex or si cuz the 96-98 harness is different from the one on 99-00
