you guys know those knock off and ebay brand body kits and bumpers. Do those ones need to be modded to fit, or should they be OEM fitment? I fked up my stock bumper by running over a big ice chunk on the road, so i need a new one. I'm probably goin to get a new one, but i want to know fitment stuff, because I dont have money to pay the pros.

99.999% of the time the fit is garbage
i have seen some that are only off by a small amount i have seen some that are off by over an inch

quality is also a big factor .... i have actually seen kits literally start flaking apart when blowing the dust off it with a compressor

as a general rule poly > fiberglass (fit and quality)

plan on having to modify any bodykit you put on

do not buy ANY knock offebay bumper if u donot have money to pay the pros....and otherwise if this is the situation.....juts buy an aftermarket oem replacement bumper and find someone to paint it cheap....itllbe the least expensive way out for sure

ya unless you know how to work a bumper just go to a rep and buy the real deal and stay away from fiberglass

Dont buy any knock off kit...The money you save will be sprnt on getting someone to make it look half decent and it will still fit like crap...Stick with the big companys..Like WIng West,EruibuniSP?,Andys Autosport,VIS is decent.

yea..i do not really wanna body kit, I was just goin to get a lip. But my car is lowered, and i hit a big piece of ice, and a big ass piece of my bumper is broken off. Now i gotta find a new stock bumper and get it painted and all that crap before i can put a lip on. Its just a pain, because that is unnecessary money that is being spent. So i figured i should just get a body kit if i have to get a new bumper and crap. A body kit would be worth the money, rather than a new stock bumper and a $50 lip.

I personally would just go with a front lip.

If I was really feeling ghetto, ricey, and did not care what other people were thinking. I would just get the front bumper of a body kit and leave the rest of body panels untouched.

im goin to call around to see how much cheap auto shops would charge me for a OEM replacement bumper cover, painted, and installed. I hate body kits...too ricey.

if it's the same andy's autosports I'm thinking about, the couple of escort guys that ordered their kit didn't like their service at all.

Go to a Junkyard/Auto Recycling Center and just get another bumper there. It's cheaper.

is the OEM bumper cover fiberglass?? I'm looking for O.E. aftermarket replacements, and they are all fiberglass. After all, my stock bumper did break when I ran into a chunk of ice. Should I just get one of thoe OE aftermarket replacement fiberglass bumpers? I will be putting on an abs lip, so that'll be a lil stronger.

you can buy the poly oem front bumpers on ebay for about $150 shipped.

i have a friend who bought a full body kit on ebay for $450 shipped. $2400 later, it was properly fitted and painted. the kit looks good, but the labor to get it right took forever.

with my car, i really busted up my front bumper. the lip i bought completely covered it up and everything looks great now.

ddaammnn...$2400?? I searched for poly oem replacements on ebay, I couldn't find anything. I'm goin to try my friends lip, and see if that can cover the fked up part. We'll see how it turns out...i'll keep yall posted. Thanks
