They always charge a fee for putting it up, then they have a fee of a certain % of what it sells for AFTER the auction, it's ghey.

i beg to differ, you have the potential to reach so many different customers on ebay... what the hell is $34 to you if you just sold wheels for $1000. they have to make money also. take into consideration their bandwidth, their servers, their service. ebay is the best invention of the 90's.

1100 for wheels...187 shipping plus 34 for ebay. He sold ~1400 or so (used price with tires) of shit for around 900-950. To me, thats buuuuuuuuuuuullsheeeet!

and how is that ebay's fault?

    1. Buyer should pay shipping.
    2. Start the auction at the minimum you are willing to get for your product
    OR
    3. Use a reserve.

i bought a turbo out of a junkyard car for $60 and sold it for $180 on eBay.

egay? i think not... try eprofit

I've sold tons of stuff through eGay- never had a problem. The listing fees are shown clear as day, and the percentages they charge after the auction is over are listed along with them. I always calculate their slice of the cash when I list something, based off the price I think I'm going to get.
