im in the same boat. i have an ebay gt35r that i got for dirt cheap. if the turbo does blow, wouldnt it just blow out the exhaust? i dont see how debris would find its way in the intake

if the compressor side were to come apart (and believe me, they have) from the bearings going bad, shavings and pieces of the impeller could easily find their way into your engine
