ecu chip question

Okay I just swapped my motor. My stock d16y7 threw a rod, I swapped in a d16y8, is there any ecu chip, or vafc or any type of thing like that, that I can make my ecu run vtec? or should I just buy the y8 ecu and wiring harness?

you should just buy the ecu and harness but you can run vafc..or wire vtec to an rpm switch(cheap)

For less than the price of a vafc you can get the proper ecu and run the vtec wires yourself.

yeah but I have yet to ever wire a car that etensively the most I have ever wired is subs, an amp, a deck, and speakers.

if you can do that you can wire vtec... theres lotts of info on this site on how to do it, plus its only like 3 wires you have to run.
