My moms 2000 Odyssey's (sp?) CEL went on the other day. What are the codes for 99+ honda's? In the article section it only has info for 9x-98 cars. Do you jump it the same way?
 
warranty has been up for a while, it has almost 70k on it. The onlything that is still under warnanty is the tranny which they extended till 100k.

So obdII version 2 should be left to the dealer?

i am a tech at a honda dealership and i see 2000 ody's every day
i bet the code is one of the following
po1456 [evap system failure] most likly cause is the gas cap missing or defective cap. 3yr/60000km
po1457 [evap tank system failure] most likely cause is the vent shut valve not opening, to a lesser extent the 2 way shut valve solinoid may not work

i forget the PGM code , but it may be the EGR insufficent air flow, this a common code on all honda v6 engines around 100000km this is still covered under a silent
8yr/130000km warranty [ its the carbon build up and needs to be cleaned]
