ecu question

hey everyone. i have a gsr swap in my crx. sucked water into engine so its done. im looking to swap a zc into it now just as a cheap option until i can build something nice later. anways would i be able to use the ecu from the gsr for the zc? how do i tell if its a 1st or 2nd gen gsr swap (its a b18c1 if that helps at all)

You can't run an obd1/2 gsr ecu on an OBD0 engine (ie: obd0 distributor, etc), and I doubt you'll have much luck finding an obd1 distributor that will fit on a ZC. Let alone the maps are completely wrong for the ZC

You would be better off sourcing a D16A6 ECU (Si), D16A1/3 (Integra), or the ZC ECU. I run the Si ECU with my DOHC ZC and it runs just fine.
