I was trying to find out what ecu i have in my rex.

If i found the correct numbers/letters it says PR3-J50.

But when i look in the referance section under ecu's i couldnt find it, the closest i saw was PR3 and PR3-J51.

Any help on this ecu would be much appriciated, thanx.

Bye the way its connected to a B16A2.

Not 100%,but I believe the difference's in the last numbers just indicate the model it came form (teg/rex/civic/auto/manual).

When you say B16A2,are you referring to the gen.,as in B16A SiR (II)?Because the B16A2 comes in the 92-95 EDM VTi (OBD I) or the 99-00 Si (OBD IIb).

No i mean B16A2 as in from a 99-00 si.

So its pretty much just a PR3 then. And ill never know what it came out of.

    And if i am right its a ODB0 , isnt that a big leap from odb2 to odb0 ?

I should be able to hook it up to my 93 civic si hatch ecu and run odb1 with minimal re-wireing right?

Just add the knock sensor and another vtec wire, somethin like that right?

    Top to bottom...

OBD IIb (left 3 plugs used)
    OBD II ECU
    OBD I ECU
OBD 0 (JDM PR3 and PWO)

Second from the bottom can plug into a OBD I car with no adapter. The others will need a conversion harness.

    What year is your REX?

You could have either OBD1 or OBD0, but without knowing the year, it's hard to tell.

For sure, this is an automatic ecu.

Guessing by the revision number, it's for a 88-91 which would make it OBD0

Damn im a moron i never even noticed the ecu/electronics section before.. My Bad!!

Its a 91 crx si, but everythings been changed in it and i dont know whats what.
I bought the car for the engine to go into my other si but i wanted to see what i had exactly so i can figure out what im gonna need for this swap.

Do manual ecu's differ from automatic ecu's?

So which harness should i use for the b16A2 and P28 (92-95 civic SI)ecu setup?
