Hey all,

I'm running d16z6 with a p28 ecu & a conversion to OBDI on my `89 CRX. I had to replace the distributor because I had another obdi dizzy that didn't fit right. I switched the pins on the new dist. to how the old one was. I fire up the car and it runs fine but I get a error code of 9. According to some research, this is what it is:

CYP Sensor (Cylinder)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

Can anyone tell me what the heck to look for? I have checked all of my connections and nothing is loose. All I did was remove the two connections for the distributor. Also, I had to solder the 2-pin connection (I would guess that is ground..?) because the new harness wouldn't fit my connectors. I tried new connections and still got the error. So I tried reversing the 2-wire connection and the car wouldn't start. I guess that the dizzy isn't bad.

Hopefully someone can help me with this, because I am not sure what this can be.

Thanks,

Danny
