Well, I am about to do a MPFI swap into my crx and was wondering does the ECU have to be for automatics or manuals? Are they compatible?

You are in the wrong forum, go to the ecu forum.

But, any ecu will plug in automatic or manual, but if you have an automatic you will need and automatic ecu. :)

Yeah I did a tranny swap on my rex and the automatic ecu didn't work with the manual tranny.

You can convert most ecu's yourself, I just did one on a pm7 for my crx, works great...the write up is on pgmfi.org
