Ef hatch ls swap reverse lights not working

I did a dpfi to mpfi for my ef hatch with a ls motor and trans.
there is a yellow and green/black wire from the trans i connected to the dx enging harness and my reverse lights stil dont come on. the bulbs work and have been tested. although i noticed if i turn my car off while in reverse the car stays on at a low idle. do the trans reverse light switch has to be wired at another location or i could have another problem. The cars been running fine for the past three years with the ls swap just recently being harrased by the PIGS
