I have a 96 ex civic with the d16y08 motor that slipped a rod bearing and messed up the crank journal. I bought a d15b motor with the j2p-003 ecu for that motor so I can use the 3-stage vetec. I know how to wire upm the second solenoid but what about the egr on the d15b. I could get rid of it by putting the intake from the d16y08 on but the ecu will still look for the egr right. If i leave the d15b intake on it and don't hook up the egr I imagine the ecu will look for it as well and set a code but will the motor run right without the egr? thanks
