    Hi guys,
Ive had my crx for 10 years now. Ive had every combination of motor you can name in the car at one point (zc, zc nitrous, b16a, b16a nitrous, b16a turbo, b20vtec, b20vtec turbo, ls, lsvtec, etc etc). Ive been out of this stuff for a long time now however and really dont know much of the new stuff for tuning. When i was doing this alot all i had was a drag valve to "trick" the map sensor and a vtec afc

The car sat for about 3 years until i decided to start daily driving it again. It had an ls sitting in it for those three years. I figured i had a tranny with quafe installed laying around, along with a full portnpolish b16 head that has crane cams springs retainers etc, skunk2 manifold, edelbrock tb, etc etc laying around. So i threw it all together to do the lsvtec thats in the car now. It runs great even though the bottom end is stock and only 9:1 compression. Goes good on 87 gas, gets almost 35mpg, and still will roast the tires ;) .

Ive still got the good old vtec afc in there along with a stock ls integra computer. Its tuned good like i said, but my rev limiter sucks. The head will make good power well up to 9k (used to rev the old b20vtec that was 11.5:1 compression) like that and it was awesome. Now though, the motor gets choked off at 7k rpm and its like your at peak power and slam the brakes!

Ive been just using the car as a beater and it hasnt been a pressing issue, but i would like to just throw the PR3 ecu i have laying around from the first b16a i bought in the car to get the rev limiter up.

So question is this. Can i "trick" the pr3 computer so i dont get a knock sensor code? or do i have to have it chipped/programmed to get rid of it? Would it be easier to "trick" the rev limiter on the ls computer? Im not interested in switching to obd0, id like to spend as little on this as possible. Ive got another "hot rod" that is for seriously going fast, this is just my beater now.

Anyway, hope someone can chime in with some ideas.

pin the ecu at b19, run a wire to a knock sensor, plug it up and stick it under the mat, make sure its grounded and there you go.
