Consequences would be failing emissions.I removed my EGR system, but the B16 doesn't use it,sooo..I kept my canister though.

It's useless with a B16,it doesn't hook to anything, and it was cramped up against my IM,the evap canister has a purpose (recirculates fuel vapors back in to engine to be burned.) and all the connections have a home,so it stayed.

The EGR system isn't that vital if you don't have emmisions in your area, but for all intensive purposes, I fall by the rule, if the manufacturer put it on the car , it has a purpose, so leave it alone. As far as the Evap canister goes, It really wont make a diiference if it;s not there, but we all care about the environment, now don't we?
