Hi,

My civic SiR with B18C engine (straight swap no mod) is always difficult to start when hot. Cold start is excellent, never failed in the first crank. All advises are greatly appreciated.

Tq.

there's no such thing as a straight swap...

what ecu?
what year motor?
what year sir?
what country are you from?
who wired it up?
any codes?
how long has it been doing this? since swapped?

Yup, you're absolutely right.. no straight swap..

I guess I know what wrong with the car, after reading some postings here and else where.. I suspect the main relay is not good. The symptoms describe match to what I'm experiencing.. I've already bought a new relay n going to replace it, n will get u updated on the outcome.

thank you very much for your reply, really appreciate it. :)

plugs, wires, cap and rotor, coil, starter, could literally be anything, main relay is a good start.

defianately the relay, same thing happened to me on my accord, the relay fixed it no problem.

Changed my relay today. The car start at first crank either cold or hot. Will monitor the car for another couple of days.

Thank you all. This forum is great!!

:D
