I have a 1992 saloon 1.6 vti with ac and I was just wondering why my engine light comes on after i been driving a while! i dont like driving with the light on so i will pull over and then switch the car off, i will then go to start the car back up and it will crank over and the engine light goes out but it wont start? after several attemps and leaving it 4 a minute the car will fire straight up and i can drive with the engine light off? and then it wont appear untill another couple of days of driving?
i dont want to keep running the car and damaging it etc, its been doing it 4 a week now and its getting on my nerves. so please can someone give me an idea to what this fault is? or how i can find out?
