engine swap SOON

My head gasket as you may know is completly fucked. I just had a shop look at it, oil leaks into coolant, etc..
i am not fixing this fucking d15b7, instead i am going to swap to at least an EX engine. but on the hmotorsonline.com website there is a D15B JDM VTEC Engine without an ECU or transmission. I just need to know if my transmission will link up to this, the only reason i am wondering is because its jdm and my tranny is USDM..other than that i assume this will work. Also, i am guessing i need an EX ECU?

Other than ECU and my tranny, what other parts will i need to complete this swap?

Your tranny will work, you can use a p28, but there's a JDM counterpart for the d15b7 if you can get one.
You shouldn't need anything else.

yeah, but most chipped p28's are programmed for dohc. finding one with a map for a single won't be easy or cheap.

DOHC ecu's work on single cams..Ive sold quite a few 99-00 Civic SI ECU's(P2T i think?) to Civic EX owners.
RPM limit is a little high, but they run great. havent had any problems with them.

yah, but when i ran a gsr on my 97 y8 it ran rich. Killed my gas and power but 8100 redline was sweet.
