I'm now playing the most awesome game environment ever created by mankind:

    EVE.

The game is beautiful, accurate and is without a doubt the largest online environment that anyone could come up with. It's the real size of a galaxy, it's believable to navigate, totally brain-busting and scary because of it's size.

And the players are awesome too. Even if you become uber elite, the dynamics of battle are so that if you're a noob you can still live and do things without dying the moment you spawn.

    Totally bitchin. $10 a month.

used to play it, thought it was lame. sure it looks good, but you literally spend like 80% playtime traveling. it takes weeks to level up skills, and the combat is 100% easy mode.
i had a ship with 4 launcher hardpoints. once i found a target and set a radius id mash all 4 hotkeys and my target would blow up almost instantly.
mining, killing pirates, mining, killing pirates, mining, killing pirates with 5 hours of traveling inbetween....

    it just gets old fast

It's realistic, dingbat. The game is more than combat - it's just about life, only in space !

And a real space combat would prolly go like that.
