The punch to the face was a bit much, and I don't think he needed to actually use the pepper spray. She was tiny and weak, of course he'll probably be commended for punching and pepper spraying a 80lb girl.

An award for what... nothing. I think this is way excessive. Put her in the patrol car and take her to the station... you don't need to be handcuffed. I think the punch to the face was overboard and excessive. The pepper spray was also alittle to close to the eyes... i wouldnt be suprised if she now has vision defects.

its plan and simple. Dont do what an officer tells you to do. Fight the officer, hit or bite the officer. You get what you deserve. What is a 15 year old lil girl out walking the streets past curfew anyway ???

Think of what location this is in.... Prob some projects, run down development that has an extreme high crime rate. Cops around those areas have to use what ever force needed.

Or think about this. If he didnt do what he did. Let her go . She could have been picked up , raped and killed. So, he kinda saved her life. You can get hit and sprayed, or let a 15 year old girl run the streets in the middle of the night and possibly get raped or killed........

As I told you... put her in the car without cuffs. Why do you have to assume she is in the projects, or an area with High crime rate. I had a curfew in my neighborhood for a brief period, and it was a rather wealthy area.

as I told you, resisting arrest is still non complying. If she was calm, cooperative, ect . And didnt bite the cop. Dont you think he would have just put her in the car and taken her home? Nah, lil hood rat had to show her ass, she got what she deserve. No respect for authorities.

Sorry, but I agree with boostfed on this one.

Edit: excessive force would have been had he picked her up and slammed her on the ground, or got out his night stick and tagged her over the back of the head.

She was blatantly resisting. She got subdued with pepper spray.

The little shit needs to sit at home and not break curfew.

I honestly would've tased her, as the after-effects are a lot less painful then OC spray.
Was he justified. Hell yes. As soon as an officer loses control of the situation, he puts his life in danger. Simple as that.

I don't understand what everyone's problem with cuffs are. If you don't struggle in them they don't hurt. They do what they're made to do. Control a person. Working at a bar I see plenty of people get kicked out. Some decide they don't want to leave until they cops get there. Even fewer think its a good idea to back talk and be a dick to the cop. But they are out their. I've seen pepper spray, cuffs, body slams, etc. But no one has compassion for a drunk. Why? He was resisting. So why is a resisting 15 year old different? Like it was posted about, in law enforcement compassion is a weakness.

EDIT: And after watching the video again, the bitch was warned, was told multiple times that he didn't want to use force, and then decided to bite the guy and got a love tap and a pepper cocktail for it.

I think it all boils down to, let the officer do his job out in the streets, even if you believe him to be incorrect. Take care of it by being reasonable and calm back in the police station or with a lawyer. Chances are in sue happy America you'll make out like a bandit if it was determined you were acting reasonable the officer was not.

    My .02cents.
