I need some more space so I was looking at external hard drives...

    anything wrong with this?

I wasnt sure if the name brand mattered much for hard drives, I'm a noob to computer hardware. please point me in the direction of a better deal or drive if you know of any

Maxtor is a decent brand... but that's not one that's actually MADE by Maxtor I don't think.

Seagate has been making hard drives, since hard drives existed, can't go wrong there. But that one says Hi Speed USB then it says 480bps, which from what I understand is not correct, only ones that are Full Speed can transfer 480bps (correct?), if that matters to you.

    WD (not as much anymore)
    Seagate
    Quantum (now Maxtor)
