external to internal coil wiring

My guide says to splice together the yel/blk and yel (both thick) wires going to the distributor. No prob, I see them. It then says to disconnect the green wire as it is not needed. Well, the 3rd of 3 wires in this plug is black and green is nowhere to be found. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot please?
