Hey every one i need some help....i know this is backwards but let me explain.
A friend of mine hydro-locked her h23 (96). she still owes a crap ton of money on it so i got her an F22A4 (obd1)for 600 bucks to put in so she could sell it. yeah i know its backwards but they guy she is selling doesnt care he just wants it to run. she is letting a guy who works on v8's do the work and he is saying that it wont work..blah blah blah. im not a accord or prelude guy but from what i have been told its a straight drop in. and she needs to change:
    injectors to obd2
    dizzy to obd2
    alternator to obd2
does any one know if anything else needs to be changed. this guy is saying that she needs to buy different mounts, harnesses and drive shafts. i dont know if he is charging her and trying to rip her off or what but i know that people do the opposite of what she is doing all the time. any help is greatly appreciated.

The mounts and the drive shafts should be fine. For the harness, either some changes will need to be made and you'll have to swap to the OBD2 accessories like you said, or you'll need to buy a conversion harness from somewhere like Rywire.

Are there no import-oriented shops around your area? It seems like this muscle-head guy isn't the one who should be doing this swap...

Oh, and where exactly did you get the motor from? I hope it has some kind of warranty on it, or it's been rebuilt. If it's an A4 then that means it's from a 90-93 Accord, so it's kind of old. I've seen those going on Craigslist for $200-$300 pretty frequently. $600 seems like you paid too much for it...

the sad thing is that im in socal....there are hundreds of shops but i guess she has the car some where either at her place or his. so it stuck now. i was told that he tried to separate the block from the tranny and then pull the motor out. so this guy is just feeding her b.s. for what ever reason. yeah 600 is a bit high but that was the best choice at the time and availability.

Meh, that doesn't necessarily mean it's stuck. Personally I'd rather pay a few extra bucks to have it towed someplace where they actually know what they're doing then to have this guy keep messing with it, but oh well, that's up to her I guess.

But yeah, mounts and driveshafts should be fine, and like I said, you'll either need to mod the harness and swap to OBD2 accessories or buy a jumper that will let you plug the OBD1 motor up to an OBD2 ECU...
