    Everyone is naive to think that they don't already have these thing flying around. They want to make it legal so they can put more in the air and cover their asses if they get into any kind of collision.


    Now they can put an airborne tail on you without needing a helicopter.

    They are already trying to use satellites in the UK for speed cameras, so I wouldn't be surprised.

    How the hell is that cost effective? I mean it costs how many million to launch it? Are they hitting folks with 15k worth of speeding tickets ha ha.

    The biggest hurdle to all of this is having rigorous controls against abuse. Who is going to pilot these for LAPD and the NYPD? Because really these are the only departments that can actually afford this kind of stuff. And they do not really have the best track record when it comes to garnering the public trust.
