im turbo bitch!!!!
if i have a pressure leak on my coolant system would it cause my fan not to kick on?

no the fan is thermostatically controlled...well, actually, if the leak is big enough...yeah it could. but i don't think it's that big, is it?

i just put my gs-r in my hatch and when i was bleeding the system it was fine cause i didnt have the radiator cap on. once i put the cap on the temp started going up to normal and then the hole started spuing pretty bad. but even so the fan didnt kick on. even past half way.
the motor was in my coupe and worked fine. i used the same radiator and fan from my coupe also.

get new upper and lower radiator hoses. that should cure the problem...also it wouldn't hurt to toss a new thermostat in it. they're cheap. also make triple sure all the hose clamps are tightened down really good.
