fan wont turn on

    i just put in my zc and it is overheating my fan wont turn on its getting power and we tested it and it works, is it the ecu not telling it to turn on or is it the wiring . can anybody help me with this?????

    could be a bad fan switch - unplug the fan switch connector from the back of the block, turn ignition switch on and connect the 2 wires in the connector together - the fan should come on - if it does, then the switch in the block is bad

    or the fan could be bad run a wire from the fan straight to the battery to see it it comes on

    yea i tested it on the battery it comes right on

    so if it does work i should hook up the wired or the ground wire to another place right???

    if it comes on when you connect the wires together, replace the switch in the block

    its not good if the fan is on all the time when i turn the key on it stays on all the time but ill try what u said

    hey i have the same problem with my car...all you need to do it hook up a toggle switch to the fan

    and know when to turn your fan on
