I'm saying rotate the turbo 180 on the turbine inlet V-band, which yes with the compressor where it currently is, would point down. What I'm saying is to ALSO rotate the compressor housing 180 degrees around the impeller so that the compressor outlet points up again.
Most of these turbos, it's pretty easy to clock the compressor housing to point the outlet wherever you want. But like I said, it probably doesn't matter, and it'll work either way. I would have just done it my way to make it easier to get cold air into the turbo.
Yep, just hadn't gotten around to welding the elbow on the outlet yetWell that explains my confusion. Every other pic you posted had the compressor outlet pointed up so I thought that's how you were trying to orient it.
