For the love of god do NOT run those camber plates going up Pike Peak. Mine broke with the slightest of a bump on the racetrack.......You don't need to have an off at Pike Peak due to broken Camber Plates.....

How did they break? Bolt shear, did they crack?

Also can you recommend a better product?

Not me but I had the same failure as Andy and several others.

The middle plate will crack at the base of the serrations where the inner bolt goes through. There is not enough section there.

    Cheddas Auto offers better unit.

I've been trying to get parts from Cheddas, dude seems to either have no interest in getting his parts on a Pikes Peak car or is super duper busy doing...idk, something other than selling parts.

Are these the spots you're referring to?

Since I'm leaving in like...57 hours for Colorado, and won't have quite enough time to get a sufficient replacement before then, I think I'm just gonna weld the shit outta these when I get the alignment set up properly and run 'em for testing this weekend. It's gonna see three (MAYBE four) fiveish minute runs on Saturday, so hopefully it'll be sufficient for that.

    Fuckin' always gotta be somethin

Actually yeah, I'll bet setting them and then welding around the perimeter of all three pieces would solve that issue..I'm betting that with the countersunk hole to allow clearance for the bolts that hold the upper plate to the middle, the middle plate isn't strong enough to support high stresses on that piece with the bolts holding THAT piece to the bottom being so far apart...so the strut is pushing up in the middle, and that middle plate flexes right where those bolts are, and that's what's causing it to crack...

So, yep, gonna weld 'em up.

    loving it.

what's the purpose of the rear fender "flare" things? protect the fiberglass from a rock or something?

Most organizations' rules require that the fenders extend fully over the tires. These stick out a good bit, and didn't have enough time to (slash didn't want to deal with) refiberglassing the rear fenders. Getting paint on this thing was already a nightmare as it was. Race plastic was the quickest easiest remedy

How much throw does your shifter have with that extension on it!? Yikes!

Not much, and there's no extension on it. That's how that particular shifter comes, you can adjust the geometry at the pivot. It's right next to my steering wheel so I don't have to move my hand much from the wheel to shift, and the throw is only a few inches
