Is there a way to find HP without using a dynamometer?

What's the best way to find gas mileage?
(This is a ghetto way, but how about filling the tank, resetting the trip odometer, then when the tank's empty, take the milage and divide it by the number of gallons the tank can hold. Does that sound like it would work?)

ya it sounds like it will work, do a little math and it will work. but it will give u a broad mpg, not city/highway. HP, u could use a Gtek, but they are shit, the only true way to know ur WHP is dyno.
