first time build

im looking into building up a new motor for my 1990 Honda Civic DX (4dr). I was wondering if i bought a D16, if my tranny off my d15 would fit. they are both d-series but i dont know if i could do that. Well i need to know what I all need to build a motor. Like if i wanted a d16z6......what will i all need to build that motor. as of now I have nothing but the d15 and tranny. I want to build up a d16z6..so if you could help me that would be very appreciated.

im building a B18C with mahle 12.5:1 pistons and skunk2 high comp valves, anyone know of any problems with clearance issues/

You should get the vitara piston and some eagle rods nice little setup for single cams
