These two would appeal to me if i were to keep predatory fish.

    Arowana fish

    CLOWN KNIFE

    The arowana looks particularly cool.

Yeah I do like that too, I was thinking about getting a freshwater stingray, they just hide in the sand though so not all that great for like the $60 price tag.

Hah, I had one of those and the Oscars whooped the shit out of it. It was about half the size of the Oscars though. I put it in the tank, went to bed, got up to go to work, stumble by and turn on their light, and when I got home it was gone. Ah well.

I vote for the Clown Knife (assuming it will work with your other fish). It looks pretty damn sweet...

My dad has a few fish tanks, one of them has 3 rope fish in it. Pretty neat if you ask me.

I had some angels and those bastards picked on anything and everything, big and small, I hated those damn fish and wished I had an oscar to put them with.

I need to stock my tank, its been near empty for the last year, I had something go through the tank and wipe out almost all my fish, right now I have a betta and some tetras, I use to have angels, lots of tetras, catfish, puffer, a few shark like fish, and a few other random ones.

the puffer was a neat fish to watch, but he was a little bitch and beat up on everyone, he was the only fish to give my angels a run for their money, he'd snip their fins off like they were paper.
    he was cool =)

Thats kinda how I had it setup before, it was too much work, the Oscars are really easy to take care of, and dont really get bothered by pH flucuations like a lot of the smaller fish do.

I like the rope fish a lot, I was acually considering getting one, I had a dragon eel, but the oscars didnt like him all too much.

I think fish are one of the cooler pets (if you can call them that) to keep, they are really low maintenace, as compared to some other types of pets, and are pretty fun to watch. If you have some for a long enough time you kinda pick up on there personalities.

I dont think they are boring. Its funny to watch them sometimes when they get pissed off at each other. Like when you feed them and they both chase after the same fish and one gets it before the other does, the one who didnt get it will t-bone the one who did and push it around the tank, or the best is when they push the turtle around, the turtle goes into his shell and the Osacrs just push him around, but I know what your saying, its not like you can take them for walks or have them sit on your lap while your watching TV.

Bettas are pretty cool, you can put them in just about anything and they really do live for awhile.
