Damn, I'm starving like a motha. Can't eat yet tho. I was suppose to go to MEPS to enlist but they fucked up my paper work and the recruiter told me I'm just going to have to starve for 2 more days. Right now I'm just barely under the body fat percentage that they allow under the old rule of 25%, they did bump it up to 26% but rumor has it that they might get rid of that, even though it was just enstated friday of last week.

Right now, I can go for a REAL philly cheesesteak with mayo, lettuce, tomatos and a little bit of onions in the mix. mmmmm, and side thing of chili cheese fries. And a Blizzard from Dairy Queen....

Can't wait to get this over with so I can eat something.

    fuck that shit...

i would never enlist in the first place, but to starve yourself when they are in need of people so badly...

i would tell them to go fuck themselves...

if you're just making it in you're gonna be FUCKED in basic... and i mean FUCKED...

yep, you have to be a certain fat percentage before you can even go to basic. You also have to be able to do situps, push ups and the mile run before you can go too. you cant be a 300lb fatbody and go in there and say "i want to be in the army to lose weight"

It'll all be worth it in the end, i don't want to be the fat guy, nor do i want to lag behind during P.T's

yeah, but army was always my dream, so i'll do anything and everything possible to get in there.

and for being fucked in basic... maybe, but my friend that enlisted before me wasn't fit and didnt have any time to prep before he left said it's not bad. first 2-3 weeks sucks but after that everything slowly gets better. And even though he's now finished from BCT i can still out do him in pushups, he does like 1 more situp than me, but he can pull away from me in the 2 mile run but the mile we are even.

dude, they need people so bad your recruiter should be tossing your salad, giving you a reach around, and throwing you a 40K sign on bonus...

you begging to get in is rediculous...

they just want to meet their goals for the month, hold out for a HUGE bonus...

yeah, i should, but i'm not. I go tonight, and as long as they give me 3ksignon for my college credits and 3k for airborne and 66k for college and give me 91W health care specialist, i'll be happy. if i dont get those, i'm not signing until they do give it to me. the guys there will just have to be making calls, but considering the fact they are hurting for medics i dont think i'll have a problem. I do have in writing by the time I leave for basic I will be PFC. instead of PV2

My buddy is going in tomorrow as a 91W. He didn't pass the UA yesterday at the recruiters, but hopefully will today as he's been purging himself for the last 36 hours.

Also you should know that if you haven't gotten your bonus you aren't getting one. A few of my friends all have received partials a few months ago before they even left for the army. My friend that is becoming a 91 whiskey is not getting one as everyone wants to become a 91W and I guess EVERYONE wants to be a 91W.

Now if you were going to be a Combat Engineer you'd definitely get one........

    Good Luck.

Eating four large pepperoni pizzas today isn't going to change you body fat measurements by tomorrow. Eat what you want, take a nice shit tomorrow before you go, and don't drink a lot of liquids (water weight = the bad) I was a fat bastard when I joined, and they didn't give a shit. As long as when you get to basic you can complete a PT test and pass by the end of basic, they won't put you in a holdover PT program.

yeah, you'd think by being 91W everyone would be scared off since it is combat medic therefore you'd be in an infantry division. As I said, i'm expecting $6k total not for just enlisting, because of my college credits and going airborne. If i dont get 91W i just dont sign, simple as that. thats what my recruiter told me to do.

anyways. since pissedoffsol said sushi, i'll pull an asian card:

i'll take bulgogi, side bowl of babeem nameyon. if you have no idea of what i'm talking about order it at korean resturaunt sometime.

I can see doing it - my cousin is airforce career, and she's 10 years into it, still deployed. Shes been offered retirement at several stages, and kept going. Right now the US has bought her 2 houses (Florida, and Germany.. PAID) 3 trucks a plane and even her daughter is fully covered for college. Hell, when it comes down to it she's making the same amount as the CEO of a company. She's decorated and a confirmed Ace pilot too. She has a plane of her own, and was offered a training position in the Air Force when she wants it.
