He could possibly get me a hook-up for powdercoating. Is that the better way of making it nice and shiny?.

well the heat made a few cracks in the paint on my valve cover... which is weird cuz its suppossed to be "high heat" paint.... i think powdercoating wouldnt do that

Did you sand it down nicely?, if not the paint can't stick. I like the look of powder coating though. I'm excited I just got my $1,500 cheque and can now start to re-build my a6 bottom end
