I have a 96 HB. It just started making a loud buzzing/humming noise last time I drove it. When I got home I turned the engine off then turned the ignition to the acc position and it still makes it. I was thinking it might be my fuel pump but it still starts fine and doesnt hesitate/bog down when I drive it. Any ideas ??

I do car audio for a living,...its not engine noise from my system. Its even louder standing outside the vehicle. Thank you for the response though.

Well I tried listening to it. Now I seriously doubt its my fuel pump because the sound seems its loudest in the front of the car on the drivers side. Any ideas?????

do you have washer fluid in your reservoir? is the pump somehow permanently on? your cruise control box freakin out maybe? i imagine you would be able to figure out the box if that were the case though since its in plain site. the washer fluid pump however is hidden in your wheel well. off the top of my head i don't know what other electric mechanism in that area of the car could be making a buzzing noise. i mean it does it when the engines off so certainly makes it easier to pinpoint. just keep following the noise till you can determine its location.
