Garrett GT28BB or T3/T4

    Hi Guys,

    I drive a Honda City in India with a built B16A2 motor having forged internals. I had a Garrett GT2871R link to exact specs and part no given below.

    Now the problem is that the turbo has packed up and I need to replace the same. Was suggested going in for the T3/T4 as per the following specs.


    T-Series T3/T4E .58 45 trim, 350HP
    T04E compressor cover 3" inlet/2" outlet
    45 trim compressor wheel rated at 350HP
    T3 4-bolt inlet and 5-bolt outlet .58 AR

    I will be boosting to a max of 1 bar on a daily drive basis at which my car used to make approx 260whp on 93 octane fuel. The GT28 would spool at 3800rpm. Should I go in for a new turbo of the same specs or the one suggested above.

    I do drag about 2-3 times a year but have no intentions of exceeding 300WHP as it would be very difficult to manage anything more on a FWD.

    Pls help me make a suggestion fast as I need to order a turbo asap.
