gas problem

my friend and i just finish installing a d16z6 into his cx hatch and is giving us some problem. the motor roar like a champ but well not go for a test drive. when we step on the gas, the rpm goes down to zero. it feels like the fuel is cut when the trottle is open. any help?

all you sensor hooked up? throttle cable doesn't have much slack does it? will the car go into gear?

car does goes into gear

all sensors are hooked up

throttle cable is tight but not to tight

just wouldn't go when gas is stepped. but it well go if you slowly let the clutch go as the car is moving without the gas being stepped. then as it moves like a turtle, we give a little gas and the rpm drops and the car begins to slow down and die.

that would be my first step...if its on...check out the codes it throws and get back to us...it will prollie throw somethin to do with the map sensor as mentioned above...
