Hey seeing how i get more replys from the accord forum ill post it here! I just did my timing belt and was just wondering if the auto tensioner automatically made your belt tight.. hence the name... im just not sure if its making it to tight or not! this was my first time doing it and what a bitch! I ruined a belt tensioner trying to do it 85.00 later and a 8.95 belt tensioner bolt later im done... Im just scared of messing up a motor by being the tinniest bit off so i got it on time just about perfect so i hope! But one more thing when i turned the motor counter clockwise about 10 or so times it looks like the timing belt comes off the cam gears about a 1/16 of an inch! Is that normal and will go away when i start it or did i mess things up! Any tips to be sure its dead on timing would be appreciated
