gm 3 bar map help

ok i know nothing about volts oms or any thing like that all i need to know is what 3 wires go togather the car is a 90 civic hb

i don't have a pic of the wire colors though... perhaps your manual can give you that info or the +/-/source ports on the plug.

Gnd-----A------Green/White
Map signal-------B------White------or----Green/Red
5V-------C---------Yellow/Red

 

[Turbo&Auto]

If you have a ohm meter, put it on diode or beep and check for one of the wires to be connected to the bat. neg. Then turn on the key and with the black lead on the bat. neg. one of the wires will be 5v. You just found the ground and 5 volts, the remaining wire is the map signal wire.

This is in case your colors are different then the above mentioned.
