they give you a gig of storage space, searchable database of your mail, replies, etc... it's AWESOME.

gmail = 1g of free email.... but its not open registration.

i'm thinking that by the time they release it, almost everyone will already have one, because they'll have invited 10 people.
 
EDIT: mine is the same as my aim name except the ones are "i"s at gmail

I got one, but I haven't signed up for it yet--fellow gamer had the invite, it's sitting in hotmail right now. :)
