ever since my grandparents bought a old john deer gator for yard work ive always pushed it to its...very low..limits. driftng around our property and stuff, nothing too crazy to damage it or me. but if anyone has ever ridden one its easy to imagine it sitting 6 inches lower and with 10 times the power.

how bad ass would it be to rip off the dump truck rear and put in a volkswagon beetle engine? tear off excess weight, lower it on some better suspension and make a mini rally car/sand rail out of it

anyone think this might be possible?
idk much about bugs but the rear drump on a gator seems like more than enough room to fit an engine of that size

why not just buy a sand rail or something already done? unless you can do the fab work, it's not worth it.

There is a reason why most rails are tube frame.

yeah it would take some good fab work and a decent engine to start off with. but anyone whos built a sandrail from scratch shouldnt have that hard of a time working this out

Are the RZR's the ones that folks where suing over awhile back for tipping and what not? Or where those the Gators?

Throw a GSX-R600 engine in there.Small package, plenty of power. Been thrown in a shit-ton of different vehicles. Check out Youtube for some videos of real go-karts stuffed with everything from 600cc to Busa engines. Those are REAL go-karts from hell.

I love that video. What I wouldn't give to hear the song of an F1 car buzzing behind my head as I was flying through the streets at mach 5...

I'd probably wad it up into a little ball trying it, but it would be fun up until that point!

I could have sworn someone stuck an EW1(4?) engine into a gokart somewhere on RPR, but I can't find anything.
