Well over the days I've been thinking and looking around. Also my buddy let me drive his slammed mini truck, and I decided i want to go slammed. So now I'm looking to fix the 94 Civic up and squeeze everything thats worth out of her. Then I'm on the hunt for a rounded style s10, nissan hardbody, or maaaaaybe a mazada b2k series, Still thinking on it. Maybe I'll just find myself a older style truck, put either the hydro's or airbag. and think on a f20c engine and tranny swap :D

And you thought the general tech and maintenance forum might be the best place to mention this?

crap. i was wondering why i couldnt find my post in the member lounge. -_-
could a move be in order?

Actually you can get a smooth ride out of hydro's. you need accumulators in the lines though. I was looking at a Nissan Hardbody today. A guy claims to have one down in miami, 94, 5 spd, extended cab. all he wants is about 200 - 300 for it. so.. im thinking on it... being i m going to be most likely pulling the body off the chasis. do a 1 or 1.5 inch body drop. Modify the chasis. do the suspension required in order to do a frame slam. C notch's, four link rear setup. and someone was telling me what's required for the front but i cant remember. selling the civic or course. started sanding the body and getting it prepped for new paint. i want to try to get the most i can when i sell it so it can be a fund raiser for my new up coming project.

hell you could always do a stock floor body drop....ie using 2"x3" 1/4" wall box tubing and build your own frame. that way you could incorporate the notch into the new frame without cutting your stock frame up and welding a notch in. just a thought :)

Thanks for the tip bodydroppednikes, Im looking for the nissan hard body. mainly because it has the ka24de in it. Im not looking for a massive amount of power to come out of to truck. but if i wanted to bolt up some addon's I know aftermarket parts are there for that engine. My buddy is looking for a mazda b2k series. Only because he likes the body, and if gas prices shoot up to 10.00 dollars a gallon. he could swap a diesel engine in and do the whole grease gas kit or something.

well from like 95+ i believe was when the Mazda B-series and Ford Rangers shared the same platform. same trucks really, just a few differences really:

    - front end (headlights, grille..etc)
    - bed/tailgate
    - tail lights
    - fenders
    - badging

other than that stuff (might be a few more differences) but in essence it is a Ford Ranger....
