I went and looked at a 300zx at a small lot. it's a '90 and has 123000 miles. non-turbo and completely stock the want $7300 for it. i think i'm gonna trade my civic for it. the civic is a 97 EX with 55000 miles and great condition. how much do you guys think the civic should go for? should i get some cash back or not?

just went on autotrader and for that year and those miles a lot of 3z's are selling for in the 4-7k range, just a little fyi if it helps.

I dont really know to much about it but for some reason that seems still a bit to high....

and now looking at the blue book and factoring a few things thats about 2 grand to high.... and that is if its in EXCELLENT shape... seriously... that is somehting that you would have to look at a little more if you are that serious about... or try to talk them down...

Offer 'em 6k. Anything more than 6500 and you're getting ripped. And yes you should get some money back out of your civic. That civic would go for 8 or 9k easy in the market.

By bud bought one in the md area for 6200. It was the 2 by 2. An old lady was selling it. I think it was an early 90's.

im selling my 89 turbo 300z for 3k
120k miles

( its not for sale, its being sold, my friend is buying it :p )

I looked at 91 with about those many miles on it, NA 5 sp... they wanted 7600 for it... i wanted the car, was willing to sell my Escort for it, but 7600 was way too much for 120k 91. (as is 7300)

i'm gonna try to talk him down but i think he may be pretty firm on the price. how much money should i get back if i trade the civic? i'm also gonna take my 240 to him to see if he's interested in it

EDIT: this car is in excellent condition and with a good detail job will probably look like new. i agree the price is a bit high but if he gives me a good price for my civic i'll probably take it.

Just make sure everything balances out, I would have some other people check it out too, also depending on how mechanically inclined you are I would have someone knowledgable on 3z's check out the motor and such.

Me personally with cars, I get very picky - if it takes 4 months to find the car that I am looking for, so be it. If I am paying for something I better get what I want, period. Good luck.

If you can get money back for the Civic from a dealer then do it! Usually they dont. But if he doesnt, then sell it on the streets and you should get more money for it. As for the Z, its a bad ass car. I own a 91 TT and its great, just be careful because the 90s had some probelms. And seeing hows it the summer time, TTops are great! If you need more info on the Z you can check out Twinturbo.net

good luck getting good money back from the dealer,,,,,,,they don't lose money, only make it............

Well they would just make the money back when they sold the civic.

he wasn't even interested in trading straight up for my civic which i found odd because the blue book on my civic is 2000 more than the 300 i've been looking around at some used lots and in the paper too but nothing looks good

Then he's a stoopid bish and deserved whatever similarly described fate awaits him. <_<

USDM.... puts out 300... with upgraded Intake and exhaust it goes to about 350... i dont really know why you would ship a TT over here... but its up to you...

so a jdm motor isn't any better than the usdm? i'll go for the us motor if i can find one around here. but right now i'm still tryin to sell my car

The JDM motor and the USDM motor are the same ... the only difference is the year the motor was built ... in 96 the HP went down because of ODB2... Good luck trying to find one ... oh and if you can ... fork out a little more cash and get a TT ... well worth the money ... the Z is a very under rated car !
