If I pick up a spare engine from a salvage yard do you think that I should get an engine that has been in a roll over, side swiped, or hit in the front. They have 3 engines to choose from. There is a 30 day warranty on the engines. Can honda motors take wrecks good? Thanks....

the side swiped one sounds most promissing ..... just look under the hood for any damage to the engine or anything serious around it that might have effected the engine

I seen engines in cars that rolled over ten times start fine about four months later, but you never know. As E said, take a look at the block, head, and mounts to make sure nothing is visibly fucked then go from there.

i got my engine from an integra that had the rear hatch ontop of the E-brake, and its fine, so just make sure the engine bay looks complete and undented and the engine should be fine.
