friends got a 02 civic with auto tranny, trans is shot.

question is: is there any difference between the auto trannys in the ek and the ep?(not sure if his is considered an ep?) havnt played with the newer ones much.
    his is a 4door auto.

anybody know if the trannys are interchangeable? or are the any sensors that are different?

EP is the chassis code for the 02-05 Si coupe, and that car uses a K-series motor and transmission. The non-Si 01-05 Civics are considered EM I think? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. They do use a D-series motor, but it's quite a bit different than the EK and EG D-series. I'm not sure if the transmissions will interchange or not. I assume they probably would.
