Hey, new to the forum......got a couple questions. FWIW, everything i'm asking, i'm being totally serious about. Ok, here goes:

I love the 92-95 civic hatch looks, I want something unique. I'm not gonna ask if anything is possible, because the answer is yes (with enough $$). I want to know if anyone has ever done a v6/v8 swap into one of these, and if there are any swap guides out there. I know ALOT/EVERYTHING will have to be fabbed, i'm far from stupid and perfectly capable of doing it. I just want to know if anyone has done it/documented it. Links, and other documentation is welcome & graciously accepted. Please don't flame, i'm being dead serious about this.

    Thanks for any info!

Also, if I posted in the wrong area, terribly sorry!!

    i see

Hmmm, like I said i'm interested in it. I understand what you mean about it driving like crap, I suppose I should have been clear about the intended use. It would be a drag car, yes rear wheel converted obviously. There's a guy here where I live, named Curtis Powers and everyone (the people that work @ his shops & people that run around town) is claiming that he's building a small block chevy CRX. He already has the fastest civic around so he decided to try something different, so I figured what the hell.....

I know it's been done with an NSX engine before, but I don't remember where I saw the pics and I don't think there's any type of write-up out there for it...

Even if you do manage to make it work, there's no guarantees that you won't still get your doors blown off by some built and boosted 4-cylinder...

Thanks for the replies.....dude, why are you being all hostile? You're acting like I said i4's are inferior and any other motor can devastate them.......I obviously like hondas, or I wouldn't have taken the time to make an account and post here right?

Dude...who's being hostile? No one is being hostile, not even a little bit. We're just saying for all the time and money you're going to put into this thing it's likely that somebody with a built GS-R or K20 is still going to be able to rip you a new one. Just because dude is putting a V8 in his Civic doesn't really mean it's the best of ideas...

The motor has plenty of power that I want to use. Runs 9.30s with 100 shot of n20 in a 3960lb car with 160lb guy driving.

Power to weight is the issue here, in the almost 4K car i've beaten built k20 turbos with 400+ hp dyno sheets. Just saying the engine will make plenty of power that's all.

Explain "real" honda? I'm pretty sure there are some real hondas running around here with inline pro, and P&C racing....

If you do this project, be sure to post a build thread. I've heard of people doing something like this, and it would be cool to see it documented.
